How We Work With Clients

Just wanted to post a quick overview of the process we use for each and every client. If you have any further questions, shoot us a quick email to support@cowpunchsites.com. We’re so excited to work with you!

Onboarding & Initial Build

  1. Email will be sent with link to calendar for scheduling an Onboarding/Consultation video call.
  2. Consultation call is necessary to begin work on your website, so schedule as soon as convenient.
  3. After the call, we will send a recap email with a checklist of expectations for the client.
  4. We will begin the initial building process based information provided on the onboarding call.
  5. Continued communication will happen on email.
  6. A review video call will be scheduled once the site is live.
  7. Cow Punch will make every effort to launch your website within 7-14 days. That timeline begins once the client has provided ALL content necessary (which will be explicitly outlined in Cow Punch’s project checklist) to fulfill the scope of what the client originally requested.
  8. If a client fails to provide content necessary to complete their website (explicitly outlined in Cow Punch’s project checklist), the subscription will continue even though the site is not live.

How We Handle Updates

  1. Updates will take 3-5 business days to complete.
  2. Update requests are handled through a ticket submission in our online portal, and further communication is handled via email. At Cow Punch’s discretion, we may ask to schedule a Zoom meeting to clarify client’s needs.
  3. What is an “update”?
    1. A change or addition to a text or photo element on a page.
    2. A change to global site design elements: colors, typography, etc.
  4. Only one update at a time, although: several updates may be grouped together (at the discretion of Cow Punch) if the scope of the work is deemed to be reasonable to do so.
  5. If an update is deemed to be a “major” change, the client may be informed by Cow Punch of an extended completion timeline.

Where Does the Site Content Come From?

  1. The client will be responsible for providing all content for website (which will be explicitly outlined in Cow Punch’s project checklist).
  2. In the case that a client is unable to produce website content, CowPunch can help by providing:
    1. Images via graphic repository
    2. Templated copy, revised to fit website needs.
  3. We will always do our best to make client provided images and copy work in our designs. At times we will advise the client that images are too low quality. Options will be:
    1. Clients provide new image.
    2. We will provide alternate image.
    3. Keep low quality image in place.
  4. CowPunch does not offer custom illustration services. If you need bespoke graphics, for a logo or other branding purposes, we will refer you to some of our favorite service providers.
  5. All material you provide to us for use in the Services must comply with U.S. copyright law. For more information, refer to our Terms of Service.

Sites We Can’t Build

If we discover that the requirements of your website needs are outside the scope of what we are able to offer, we will promptly refund your payment.
